hi,

how do you think about an own forum for tutorials? it would be a good addition to existing examples in osg sources.

cheers
boto

Hi Boto,

there exists already a project, which offers tutorials and other helpfull stuff for the osg. You can find it here http://www.osghelp.com

You can post your tutorial there. Actually Peter (the owner of that site) contacted me about integrating this forum into theirs site. However it seems he has no time currently, hence the integration isn't gone further.

Therefor I think it wouldn't be that gentle if I place here now a special subofurom for tutorials or other stuff, which already handled by osghelp.com. I hope you understand that ?! However I would be very appreciated if we could somehow combine both projects together.

cheers,
art

hi art,

it's me again. i had a look on osghelp.com site. it looks good, however i would not like to post an article there, as the licensing and payment rules are not fitting into my intention for my tutorial. i don't want people having to pay for reading my tutorial.

in that sense, i would prefer to post the tutorial into osg wiki.

cheers

Hi Boto,

hmm, I think they pay you for the posting a tutorial there. And access to the tutorials is free for users. However, I am not sure on this.

cheers,

Hi All,

I'm the administrator and creator of the www.osghelp.com site.

I haven't really have had the time to maintain the site as I wished for.
For that reason I'm planning on removing the subscription part and make
the site fully 100% open.

The plan is to redirect all forum stuff related to the site and osg to this forum.. as it is best to have such things in one place and not spread out through the net.

I'm as always in the middle of tons of work and all my free time is currently used up.. I will try to remove the subscription stuff from the site within the next 14 days.

hope this is good for all.

regards,
Peter Wraae Marino

i'm still within the 14 day period... when I get time I will fix it so you can access all articles... it's not a little thing I have to change on the site, it will take me 4-6 hours to fix it.

sorry that you have to wait... but I do have it on my todo list
I'll be going to GDC next week, so I hope to have it done before I
leave home.

regards,

hi Peter,

your tutorials are really useful. I had a look over them yesterday but today I get the "Paid membership is required to read articles." message again.
