Very strange, whenever I press the submit topic button, I do not get any SID in the url. There is something strange going on. But do you still encounter problems submitting new posts?

Sorry, I moved your topic here, because I do not want to pollute the mailing list with "just test messages" Wink

If you are able to post here, then the messages will also go without any problem to the mailing list!

Good idea to do testing here.

Storm moving in fast.

Check what the session control is checking for. Remote IP maybe changing for me. I have encountered this before on my network.

Do you have a box above the forum which tells you something about session control? It could be that the CTracker - AntiSpammer protection tool is detecting strange activities and prevent your from writing to the forum. I have enable a debug mode of that tool, to see what happens. Could you try to force the error again?

I (Art) am posting with a test user account.

Where do you get SIDs from? This is somehow realy strange.
I am not able to force the forum to show any SID in the URL... Either with a testuser or with my regular username. In the log files there is also nothing happens, since your last tryings. Also apache log files doesn't show any problems (except of wrong requests somewhere from Los Angeles area, you? Wink )

Clean your browser cache!
Try with different browsers!
If you are able, please try from another PC!
Try with some other forum which is also based on phpBB2!

Sorry, but I am not able either to force the same error nor to detect any strange things with the forum by log files. You are also the only one encountering these errors. Hence I do not really know, how I could help you, because there is nothing strange happens on my side.

And no - "Offline" forum isn't connected to the mailing list!

Testing the connectivity to mail list for this forum. Also on Monday I can try another network, which sits behind another set of proxies.

The continuous changing SIDs

This forum/category isn't connected to the mailing list!
I am still confused how do you get the SIDs in the URL. I am not able to get them whatever I try.

Seems like destroying the cookie phpbb2_mysql_data got rid of information that caused PHPBB2 to generate SIDs in URLs

Not so by the looks of it.

Ah, I think I know which ticked option you mean. Yes it seems the option is there, although it shouldn't be there. I have to check the scripts, what cause the option to be displayed. However the option will be ignored whenever forum isn't connected.

Now the option is away. It was displayed because this forum was connected to my private email adress, which I have used to test the forum-list connection.
